Luo Ruiling, an investigator of the Education, Culture, and Health Committee of the Guangdong Provincial People's Congress, Shao Chengcun, the inheritor of the national-level intangible cultural heritage gray plastic project, He Shiliang, the inheritor of the Guangdong intangible cultural heritage brick carving project, He Zhanquan, the first batch of traditional architectural masters in Guangdong Province, Liu Xianming, Guangdong ceramic master, and Pang Guohua, deputy dean of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and Crafts, attended the event.

Gong Zhaoxian, Dean of the School of Architecture and Urban Planning of Guangzhou University, presided over the establishment and unveiling ceremony of the intangible cultural heritage inheritance base. The main members of the intangible cultural heritage inheritance base and student representatives participated in the event.

The leaders and guests of the conference unveiled the "Guangzhou Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance Base" of the School of Architecture and Urban Planning of Guangzhou University. Professor Gong Zhaoxian, Dean of the School of Architecture and Urban Planning of Guangzhou University, presented a special expert certificate to the national intangible cultural heritage gray plastic project inheritor Shao Chengcun, the Guangdong province's intangible cultural heritage brick carving project inheritor He Shiliang, the first batch of traditional architectural artists He Zhanquan in Guangdong Province, Guangdong Ceramic Master Liu Xianming, and deputy dean of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and Crafts, Pang Guohua.

In his speech, Du Zuoxiang introduced the situation in which Guangdong Province will continue to carry out the intangible cultural heritage protection and utilization work, and expressed its gratitude to Guangzhou University for its full support and active participation in the protection, restoration, promotion and activation of Guangfu Architecture non-heritage technology. He hoped that the inheritance base, under the leadership of the school party committees, would pay attention to the new progress in the protection and utilization of ancient post roads in Nanyue, give full play to its own advantages and characteristics, carry out academic and theoretical research on non-heritage building technology, and make greater contributions to the activation and utilization of the non-heritage technology of Guangfu architecture. In his speech, Yang Xinquan introduced that Guangzhou University, as a comprehensive university with more than 90 years of tradition, has played an advantage of multidisciplinary integration in the layout of the key 5 + 2 discipline platform. Lingnan culture and art is also one of the key humanities and social science platforms. In the inheritance and development of Lingnan traditional architecture and technology, the School of Architecture and Urban Planning of Guangzhou University has carried out a series of teaching and research work and achieved certain results in recent years. In the future, under the guidance of the Provincial Department and Municipal Bureau, in cooperation with non-heritage protection units, explore their protection, promotion and activation of utilization methods and carry out corresponding substantive work. The work of the inheritance base should focus on systematically organizing and excavating the cultural heritage of traditional building crafts with the traditional cultural characteristics of South Guangdong, and promoting the combination of the protection of cultural heritage in the protection and utilization of traditional building crafts in Lingnan with the revitalization of historical city blocks and rural revitalization.

Pang Yue, the director of the Department of Architecture and the head of the inheritance base at the School of Architecture and Urban Planning of Guangzhou University, introduced the school with the support of Guangzhou Cultural Center and Guangzhou Heritage Protection Center, in conjunction with the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, Guangdong Academy of Arts and Crafts (Chen Family Shrine) and many non-genetic inheritors, they have carried out a series of teaching and research work on the intangible cultural heritage of traditional architecture technology in the past two years. "Non-Genetic to campus", "Gray Plastic Craft Show and Experience Camp", and "University Innovation Training Program" are promoted and taught to undergraduate  students and master students in architecture and related majors. She said that the inheritance and development of Lingnan's traditional buildings and crafts cannot be separated from physical protection, mechanism research, technical inheritance, public promotion, and activation. In the future, the Heritage Base will rely on traditional building entities in the field of architecture, and combine teaching and research in arts, anthropology, ethnology, sociology and other disciplines to carry out intensive protection and activation.

Shao Chengcun, the inheritor of the national-level intangible cultural heritage gray-plastic project, and the first batch of traditional architectural masters in Guangdong Province, said that the inheritance and research of non-heritage craftsmanship is the focus of the protection and utilization of the traditional heritage and non-hereditary crafts of Guangfu, and as a national non-hereditary inheritor of the gray plastic project, it also pays special attention to this work in practice. The School of Architecture and Urban Planning of Guangzhou University has established a long-term exchange and cooperation relationship with a number of non-genetic inheritors, and has carried out a number of teaching and design practices in universities and non-heritage sites. The establishment of the inheritance base provided a good platform for future work.

Since August 2017, under the specific guidance of Guangzhou Intangible Heritage Protection Center, The School of Architecture and Urban Planning of Guangzhou University has set up the Guangfu Architecture Heritage Heritage Technology Activation and Inheritance Teaching and Research Group. In December 2018, it was approved as a non-genetic inheritance base by the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Press and Publication. On the basis of the previous achievements, continue to cooperate with other well-known universities and non-hereditary units to carry out related teaching and research, continue to open international joint design workshops, carry out craft experience learning, and go to intangible cultural heritage sites for field research. In teaching and scientific research, continue to complete related work in combination with professional layout and discipline construction.
